Why Locals Love Pizza Cosy

Pizza Cosy stands out as a beloved gem in the heart of Perpignan, France, perfectly embodying the warmth and flavors of authentic Italian cuisine. Specializing in pizzas and a broad spectrum of Italian family favorites, this cozy spot at 17 Bd Georges Clemenceau is a must-visit for locals and travelers craving an unforgettable Italian meal in a relaxed, inviting setting.

The true star at Pizza Cosy is, without a doubt, its inventive and mouth-watering pizza selection. Each pizza showcases a harmonious blend of fresh, high-quality ingredients, crafted with care and flair. Take the Pizza Marguerite For Ever for example — the rich tomato sauce combined with creamy mozzarella fior di latte, topped with fresh basil and a drizzle of organic extra virgin olive oil, conjures up a perfect melody of delicate flavors. For those who love a little extra, the option to add anchovies elevates this classic to a sublime experience. Another standout, the Pizza Reine de Mon Cœur, delivers a savory delight with its combination of tomato sauce, tender white ham, freshly picked mushrooms, and mozzarella fior di latte, finished with aromatic oregano and the potential to include organic black olives. The variations available provide something for every palate, including the comforting Pizza Reine Calzone, known for its delightful folded crust and robust fillings.

Beyond the pizzas, Pizza Cosy offers an impressive range of vibrant salads, such as the Salade César featuring market-fresh greens, marinated chicken, crunchy croutons, and a perfectly poached egg crowned with Parmigiano Reggiano and Caesar dressing. For a lighter but equally fresh option, the Salade Norvégienne combines smoked salmon with goat cheese and a refreshing dill-lemon sauce, creating a refined balance of flavors. Vegetarians are not left wanting, with the Salade Végétarienne brimming with garden-fresh artichokes, organic black olives, cherry tomatoes, and a smooth dressing that ties it all together beautifully.

To round off the meal, Pizza Cosy delights with an enticing selection of artisanal ice creams. Imagine savoring a scoop of Glace Fraise Senga Sengana bursting with real strawberry pieces, or the exotic Glace Mangue des Indes that delivers tropical freshness in every spoonful. For a more indulgent finish, the Glace Vanille Bourbon de Madagascar with macadamia nuts and caramel sauce offers a perfect sweet symphony, or try the uniquely captivating Glace Barbe à Papa sprinkled with rose sugar crystals for a whimsical treat.

The dining atmosphere at Pizza Cosy reflects a genuine family-friendly vibe where everyone feels at home. Customers commend the friendly and attentive service, which makes each visit feel personalized and comfortable. Despite being located on a bustling main road, the interior fosters a welcoming ambiance perfect for casual dinners or a relaxed pizza night out. As per several happy patrons, the owner’s warm hospitality and the attentive staff add an extra layer of charm that elevates the entire dining experience.

Jonathan Green sums it up excellently: “We had three pizzas to try all, very reasonable price, best quality and taste. Honnestly very good, the food was relatively quick but without a drop in quality, the pizza’s we had were very tasty and the owner was very friendly and gave a good atmosphere. + bonus points for the very good hot sauce they make :) Would definitely recommend!!

Wandered about looking for something that we fancied for dinner. Big fans of pizza but almost crossed the road as thought this was just a takeaway. Glad my wife noticed the tables. Not the prettiest of places to sit and eat as on a busy main road. Our server was great and spoke great English (much better than our French), and was able to explain the menu to us. We were certainly not expecting the pizza to be as good as they were and was much better than recent pizzas we have had both recently in Avignon and back in the UK at Italian restaurants. Fantastic crust and lots of toppings. If you want a great pizza that won’t break the bank then can highly recommend

The best tasting pizza, very friendly staff and super clean facilities. We had just arrived from England with no idea what to do or where to eat, chose this place and really glad we did as the food was so delicious. Proper traditional pizzas the flavors were exceptional and the base perfect. The guy serving spoke fabulous English recommended us on where to go during our stay and gave us a booklet of current local events. Definitely recommend - we went with a pensioner and our toddler and the facilities were fine for us

Despite the name of this place, the initial service greeting was anything but « cosy ». The gérant (?) instructed condescendingly that next time, we should wait to be seated and informed us that it’s not just this restaurant’s practice but the case of all restaurants in France. Vraiment? We lived in Perpignan for 6 weeks already and we eat out almost daily, contributing to the economy of your city. And no, not every restaurant in le sud de France has this explicit policy. It really does vary and you had no signs asking customers to wait to be seated. Plus, once seated, we had to get up and order at the counter. Argh! I was very tempted to get up and walk out but we have been wanting to try the food which fortunately did not disappoint. The pizza was delicious and so was the enormous Caesar salad. The salad dressing, however, was too sweet. We ate on a Sunday so it was nice. Not sure how it is on regular days as the al fresco tables front a major street that can be busy and noisy with passing vehicles. Hold the attitude and let the food speak for the restaurant. Merci!

Just arrived in Perpignan from Birmingham. Ordered a Queen pizza and it was large, tasty and had a fabulous amount of ham, mozzarella and mushrooms, which were juicy and very tasty. A fulfilling meal, which was accompanied by a large, ice cold bottle of water. The price was cheap for city standards and the staff member was so pleasant and polite. Even helped me with suggestions for the rest of my break here, thank you! Highly recommend!
